A traditional salon is a gathering of people under the roof of an inspiring host, with the goal of either pleasing or to educate.
The goal of Salon Church is to bring together mature Christians to discuss, educate, and inspire one another in their daily walk with Jesus Christ.
We gather regularly to discuss the Bible and its application to our daily lives and to share a meal. While the discussions are generally far ranging, they are deep and intended as meat for the mature Christian.
The focus of a Salon Church gathering is upon everyone’s participation. This might include a sharing of history, an inspired poem, a song, a painting, or other creative endeavor. One person should not dominate the discussion and sharing; it should include everyone. It is the host’s responsibility to help facilitate an inclusive, friendly, supportive environment.
There is a time of prayer, worship, communion, study and fellowship at every gathering.
